The 2020 Home Health Proposed Rule: Succeeding in a Time of Change

The 2020 Home Health Proposed Rule: Succeeding in a Time of Change

A free, two-part webinar series presented by WellSky

The 2020 Home Health Proposed Rule represents a seismic change in home health care. In the 2020 Proposed Rule, not only does the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) proceed with the Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM) and make Value-Based Purchasing Model (VBPM) performance data public, but it also introduces a plan to phase out Requests for Anticipated Payment (RAP) – the pre-payment for home health services.

Your journey as a home health provider is about to become more complex and challenging. But you don’t need to go it alone.

WellSky has brought together two of home health’s most trusted and respected experts to present a FREE webinar series that will help you succeed in this time of great change. Our faculty includes:

  • Sharon Harder - President, C3 Advisors, LLC
  • Jill Dyer, BSN, RN, HCS-D, HCS-O - President, J.I.D. Consulting & Coding
This in-depth, exclusive series includes two 60-minute webinars that will ensure you and your team understand the proposed rule and its impacts on your agency and are well-equipped to provide informed feedback to CMS by the comments deadline of September 9, 2019. Comments and reactions from the home health industry really matter. Make sure your voice is heard!

PART 2 - The 2020 Home Health Proposed Rule: the operational and process angles
Presenter: Jill Dyer, BSN, RN, HCS-D, HCS-O – President, J.I.D. Consulting & Coding
This session with a renowned home health executive consultant will look into the near-future to help you and your team understand – and prepare for – the logistical and operational changes in the proposed rule.

Watch and learn

  • How the proposed rule will affect staffing and operational processes
  • The practical steps you should take now – whether or not the rule changes
  • How to prepare and submit your comments to CMS

This is just the Proposed Rule… what about the Final Rule?
The 2020 Home Health Final Rule will be released later this year. It is typically published in late October. We will schedule additional follow-up webinars on the Final Rule after it is released. Remember: your comments on the Proposed Rule can help shape the Final Rule. Make sure your voice is heard!

Do not wait until the Final Rule to prepare. Many compliance changes will be effective on January 1, 2020. Waiting until after the Final Rule to begin preparing in late October or November is not an option. Get informed now, and begin positioning your agency for success.
