On grief and living after loss: practical guidance for care professionals

A free webinar presented by bereavement coordinator Amy Kitsembel of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services

Loss and the grief and mourning that follow it are parts of being human. As care professionals, we encounter these forces all around us—within ourselves, our families, among our colleagues and friends, and in the patients and clients we care for. Yet, in spite of its universality, grief is often misunderstood, and our response as care professionals—and people—is frequently unclear and rushed in practice.

How can you and your team enhance your understanding of grief and better assist yourself and others in navigating this very normal part of the human journey?

Join social worker and bereavement coordinator—Amy Kitsembel—for a free 60-minute webinar On grief and living after loss: practical guidance for care professionals. Amy explores grief work in a way that is equally appropriate for both new and well-seasoned care professionals. She presents practical strategies to provide self-care and explains the importance and value of ritual as we live with loss and provide care to others.

Watch and learn:

  • The difference between grief and mourning
  • How to identify common grief reactions
  • The six tasks of mourning
  • Practical strategies to care for yourself and others
